Good Samaritan

Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts offers effective character, citizenship, and personal fitness training for youth. Specifically, the BSA endeavors to develop American citizens who are physically, mentally, and emotionally fit. We stress self-reliance; have personal values based on religious concepts; have the desire and skills to help others. We develop a keen respect for the basic rights of all people; and are prepared to participate in and give leadership to American society. We're an active group that hikes, bikes, camps, caves, kayaks, climbs, or something exciting each month.

All boys from age 11-17 are welcome to join us at any time. For young men and women aged 14-20, we offer a Venturing program where they can pursue their special interests, grow, develop leadership skills, and become good citizens. Emphasis for both groups is on leadership, community involvement, high adventure, recognition, and ideals.
