"Why Become an Altar Server?
Being an altar server is more than just helping at Mass—it's a unique opportunity for your child to grow in faith, responsibility, and confidence. Altar serving draws children closer to the mystery and beauty of the Eucharist. They learn reverence, discipline, and teamwork, and they witness firsthand the sacred rhythms of the Church. Many vocations—both to religious life and strong Catholic family life—have begun at the altar.
Serving strengthens their sense of belonging to the Church and gives them an active role in the most important prayer of our faith. It nurtures a quiet leadership, teaches them to listen for God's voice, and helps them build a life of service rooted in love for Christ.
Open to third graders and higher who have received the Sacrament of Holy Communion. New server training happens quarterly, so keep an eye out for parish communication. Applications can be found HERE.
