Fr. Tim is currently the Pastor of St. Michael's in Gainesville, GA. Prior to this Fr. Tim served as Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Atlanta. He has served twice in campus ministry (Georgia Tech and Emory) as well as various other assignments in the Diocese. Fr. Tim is currently in the process of publishing a new book, "Looking Up" which follows the movement of spiritual gifts (called charisms) the seven Gifts rediscovering the charismatic dimension of the Catholic Church.

Sarah is the Director of Pastoral Ministry at Encounter Ministries and the Director of the Encounter School of Ministry. She holds an MA in counseling and has served in ministry for 20 years. Before her time at Encounter, she served in a parish as the director of evangelization and youth ministry and the Associate Director of Alpha Catholic. Her deepest desire is for everyone to know the love of the Father and walk in the holiness and wholeness Jesus paid for.

Gerry Martins is a full-time lay Catholic missionary with Family Missions Company, a Louisiana based apostolate. Gerry, his wife Mel and their six children currently live and serve in Augusta in the Diocese of Savannah, Georgia alongside the Alleluia Community. Gerry is also the Director of the Encounter School of Ministry – Augusta campus, and a trained spiritual director. Originally from India – Gerry, a professional photographer and Mel, a pre-primary educator had a dramatic ‘encounter’ with the LORD at a retreat and felt called to drop everything and follow HIM. Since then, the LORD has led them into places of deeper intimacy and transformation, with a mission to empower others in the Holy Spirit!

EMPOWER begins at 9a in McNamee Hall at St. Peter Chanel in Roswell, GA. Throughout the day there will be 4 main sessions, great speakers, praise and worship, prayer teams available, and all will conclude with Mass at 5p (also in McNamee Hall).

EMPOWER is an opportunity to spark "more" in our faith journey, to invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, and discern how God is (or wants) to move in our hearts. No matter where you are on your journey - this is an opportunity to grow deeper into your call as a missionary disciple.

EMPOWER Conference will occur at St. Peter Chanel in Roswell, GA. The Conference will be hosted in McNamee Hall.

Although the event is hosted at St. Peter Chanel, this is a collaborative initiative between several parishes in the Archdiocese of Atlanta along with representation from various ministries. This team has been meeting on a regular basis to pray for the church in Atlanta and to discern what is God desire for His people.
