Cub Scouts at SPC: Faith-Filled Adventure for Boys & Girls in Grades K–5
Cub Scout Pack 1134 is proudly chartered by Saint Peter Chanel Catholic Church. We welcome boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade into a program rooted in our Catholic values of reverence, service, and community. Whether it’s launching rockets, hiking trails, building Pinewood Derby cars, or helping others, our Scouts grow in character and faith—one adventure at a time. Scouting here isn’t just an activity—it’s a ministry. Through fun and family-centered experiences, we help form young disciples who grow in virtue, confidence, and love of God.
At Pack 1134, faith isn’t a separate box to check—it’s woven into the fabric of the program. We pray together, participate in parish life, and engage in service that reflects the teachings of Christ. Scouts have opportunities to grow through the Catholic Religious Emblem programs (Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei) and the National Catholic Committee on Scouting’s Activity Series, which connects faith and action in age-appropriate ways. These experiences help Scouts see their faith come alive—not just in church, but in the world around them.
Real Growth in a Real-World Setting
Today’s kids need more Green Time and Less Screen time. They need friendships that are real, hands-on experiences that build confidence and resilience with mentors who model servant leadership. Scouting gives them that space—outdoors, unplugged, and grounded in Catholic community life.
Throughout the year, families enjoy a wide range of events, family campouts and hikes, STEM events, and our Christmas Party, and of course, the Pinewood Derby. Our program culminates with Scout Sunday Mass, the Blue & Gold Banquet. Every event is designed to bring families closer, reinforce the values we teach every day, while giving Scouts the chance to grow.

BOY SCOUTS
Scout Troop 1134 - Adventure and Leadership experiences for boys Grades 6-12.
Scout Troop 1134 has been Chartered by St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church for the past 25 years and has the distinction of guiding over 100 Scouts to the rank of Eagle. Scouting offers effective character, citizenship, personal fitness, and leadership training for youth. Specifically, Scouting endeavors to develop American citizens who are physically, mentally, and emotionally fit. We stress self-reliance, have personal values steeped in faith, and we have the desire and skills to help others. Troop 1134 hikes, bikes, camps, caves, kayaks, and climbs monthly.
Adults play a vital role in our Troop! Parents and guardians are encouraged to join our adult leadership team and participate in experiences with the Troop by taking roles as Assistant Scoutmasters, Committee Members, Merit Badge Counselors and more. This is a way to stay engaged in your child's life by supporting their Scouting journey. Scouting is a youth-led organization, and the support given by active adults is what makes it all possible.
