Springs of Love Purpose

With attention to such issues as adoption after infertility, the impact of trauma on children, parenting a child with special needs, the adoption triad, navigating relationships with birth families, the language surrounding fostering and adopting, the role of the Church in caring for children in need of parents, and more, we hope that the Springs of Love chapter at St. Peter Chanel will be a place for those who wonder if they might be called to foster or adopt can come to hear inspiring stories, learn about the very real joys and challenges of fostering and adopting, and get connected with others who are on this path for support and encouragement.

Discernment

If you and your spouse are curious about adoption and/or foster care or you’re feeling a call from the Lord to open your hearts and home, we have resources available to you to aid you in the process of discernment.

Other Ways to Offer Support

Perhaps your family does not feel called to bring a child home through foster care or adoption but you still have a desire to help. There are many other ways to be involved and serve- everyone can do something!

  • Pray for all members of the community- women making an adoption plan, children in the child welfare system, biological families, adoptive and foster families, case workers, attorneys, etc.

  • Become a CASA advocate

  • Become a respite family

  • Deliver a warm meal
