Camp Firelight VBS - Teen Counselor
Do you love your faith and working with kids? Then we would love to have you join us as a Counselor at Camp Firelight this summer. Vacation Bible School is unique in that the excitement of our faith is shared through relationships with teens like you.
This year, teens will be directly involved with small groups of children. You will be our leaders while the adult volunteers back you up. There are opportunities to lead age specific crews or in fun stations such as crafts, snacks, Bible drama, science discovery and outdoor games. We ask that before considering, you check the dates. We must have a commitment for the full camp week, all hours.
Applications will be accepted from March 3-17. We will respond to all applicants the following week. Accepted counselors will need to submit signed Teen Volunteer paperwork (unless it is already on file with the parish.) Contact April Velez ([email protected]) with any questions.

Teen Volunteer Opportunities - Serving Toddlers-Pre-School
TEEN NURSERY HELPERS: Seeking 9th-12th grade teens to help out in our parish nursery during the 9:00am and 10:45am Sunday Mass times. Responsibilities look like: Playing with children ages 1-3 and cleaning toys at the end of the shift.

GIFT PRE-K BREAKOUT LEADERS: Seeking 9th-12th grade teens to help our adult volunteers leading PreK children in a preplanned lesson. Responsibilities look like: Helping children ages 3-4 through different activities (coloring, games, songs) and cleaning up at the end of the shift.

Teen Volunteer Opportunities- Serving Elementary School Age Family Faith Formation
GENERAL FAMILY EVENT HELPERS – Seeking 9th – 12th graders who would be willing to be “on call” for miscellaneous family activities as they arise during the year. First Communion Workshops, Christmas Pageant, Lenten activities, etc. No obligation. We will email as opportunities arise to see your availability.

Teen Volunteer Opportunities – Serving Parishioners with Disabilities
SHINE - Help kids with special needs to learn about Jesus’ love for them, and our parish’s love for them, in fun and freewheeling Faith Formation sessions called Shine Class. Meets meets two Sundays a month during the school year from 10:45a-12p. You’ll love it!
CROSSBEAMS - Help with Crossbeams Bible Study for teens and young adults who have disAbilities. Volunteers help with learning materials, assist attendees with where to place stickers on their learning pages, and share the love of Jesus with this fun and indescribably uplifting group! Meets 2 Sundays each month, throughout the year, from 3:30 – 4:30p. Easy to head to Sunday afternoon Mass in a great mood!
SENSORY FRIENDLY MASS - You can volunteer while attending either Saturday 4:30 Mass, or Sunday 12:15 Mass, in our Sensory-Friendly Mass Space, designed so families who have a member with a disability that makes it hard to stay in a pew or whisper, can still attend Mass as a family. Quietly play with children with special needs (their parents stay in the room with them) and use pictures to walk through each step of the Mass. Training is provided, and serving in this way is very fun and rewarding!

CREATIVE MINISTRY
Volunteer but learn a valuable skill for your future. The Creative Ministry is looking for Teens that would like to serve in a Communications capacity. Receive training on the following:
- Video Editing using the latest AI software
- Filming & Lighting
- Sound Board
- On-Camera Broadcasting
- Social Media
- Graphic Design
You will also have the benefit of hearing some amazing stories of what God has done in the lives of your fellow parishioners. A great opportunity for future Marketing, Broadcasting, and Graphic Design majors.
